Works well on my ipod touch 3rd gen September 6, 2010

I usually dont write reviews, but I have been looking for a screen protector for another mobile device and wanted to give an honest opinion about the belkin ipod protector.
First off, I gave it 4 stars because they are TRICKY to apply. Luckily I got mine on the first try, but another ipod I did got lint or paper pieces under it and it took 2 tries. Just make sure your fingers and the ipod are both CLEAN!
Second, Protection. This combined with the black rubber speck case make a bullet proof combination. I only have one small knick on the protector (hopefully not the screen) after 6 months of heavy use (school, backpack, car, gym, etc. The screen protector doesnt affect the operation AT ALL and is so clear I forget I put it on!
Overall, I would definitely give these a shot. They seems to work well for me once applied. They remain unnoticed 99.9% of the time and protect against dirt and scratches well.

I have friends with covers that don't show fingerprints at all. I thought that was the quality of product I was getting here. Still shows greasy smears. But they wipe off fairly well, just like the actual screen did. At least it's protecting against scratches and actual damage to my screen.

Bought these based on other reviews. Found them hard to install and the tabs that are glued on the protective screen leave glue that has to be removed. This scratches the protective screen. Tried all 3 and had the same results. Would look for another product.
No protection from finger prints or cheek prints - the old PDA overlays did!! July 17, 2010

I use to have Belkin's PDA overlays from around 2002. They were fantastic, they protected the screen and prevented finger print smudges. They were so great I cut them up and used them on my cell phones to prevent "cheek grease" and on my iPod. Last month I ran out, so I bought these. They do nothing to prevent finger print smudges and cheek smudges when using the phone. They went from excellent to the same sub par quality everyone else produces.

Purchased for my iPod Touch. Great price... and they work well. They do seem to retain "smudges" more than my previous covers, but they do what they are supposed to, and when I'm using my Touch, I don't notice the smudges.
