 Highest Quality Sensor Case (especially for non-lace-up shoes) September 6, 2010

I bought this product to hold my Nike+ shoe sensor while running in my Vibram FiveFinger shoes. After looking at other similar products (and even checking out a few my friends have and love) I am VERY HAPPY I went with this product. I have even gotten a second one for my husband!
For people not familair with Vibram FiveFinger shoes, they are a type of shoe designed for 'barefoot running' (something like fancy aqua-socks). These shoes do no have laces; just a single velcro strap on the bridge of the foot. Every other sensor case I looked at had holes for laces to go through, which just doesn't work with non-lace shoes. This case is PERFECT, as the velcro closure on the case easily wraps around the velcro closure on the shoe, but is thin enough to go unnoticed. I think it would be great on lace shoes too, as it is easy to attach and remove (without requiring you to un-lace/re-lace your shoes).
The case itself is very small and lightweight. The material is a thick, substantial and almost feels like neoprene... waterproof and durable. It doesn't bounce on top of my foot, and the velcro and stitching are high quality. I can't imagine I will have any issues with this case, and the added convenience of easy attachment/removal is what sets it apart from the other sensor cases for me.
My only suggestion? More colors! Otherwise this is the highest quality sensor case I have seen.

It works perfectly, and does exactly what you would expect. Quality seems high, and I love the velcro rather than the other systems where you may need to lace/unlace your shoes every time you want to remove the sensor. Great design.

I needed a pouch to put my Nike+ sensor in since I don't run with Nike+ shoes, and this was recommended to me by a friend. It's perfect--the sensor fits in snugly and I don't have to worry that it might fall out while I'm running. I read somewhere that someone said there's also room to store the little piece that snaps into your iPod, but I don't see how that's true. I had to work a bit to get the sensor in the pouch, which is how you'd want it to be. If there was room to put anything else in there I'd be afraid the sensor would fall out while running. So a word of advice: Don't try to stuff anything else in this pouch except the sensor or you run the risk of compromising it.
Bottom line: If you're looking for a pouch to put your Nike+ sensor in, grab this one. It's cheap, built well and serves its purpose easily and effectively.

My husband uses this for his morning runs. He did not want to buy a new pair of shoes to use the Nike+, this case/strap works very well on any shoes.

I purchased a Nike+ iPod Sensor Kit, but don't wear Nike shoes. Instead of purchasing a new pair of shoes, I decided to give the Sportsuit Sensor case a try. I'm glad I did.
The sensor case is pretty simple. Elastic material encases and secures the sensor to the moisture resistant neoprene and rubber strap. Once the sensor is inserted, run the strap under the lower shoe laces. Fold the sensor side up and fasten securely with the opposite side of the strap. To remove, undo the Velcro fastener, and pull the strap off the shoe.
If you are looking for an alternative to purchasing a new pair of shoes, this case is an excellent solution.
