I really didn't expect much from this product. I knew that the charger wouldn't last too long. It broke about a day or two after it came in. Good thing I didn't lose too much money out of this.

There is no reason to believe that this product was created by Apple even though that is what the seller would like you to believe you are buying. Apple has always been great about branding their products w/their logo. In fact, they are so proud of their logo they send you Apple stickers with your purchases so you help them advertise. That said, the product is currently charging my Apple Nano inside the house and the in car charger has worked the one time I plugged it in. It is a cheaply made, plastic, make in China product that is working thus far and cost me $4. I did think that I was buying an Apple made product but was suspicious about the price. If I was supposed to receive an "Apple iPod USB Travel Kit with Car Charger/Travel Adapter/Cable-White" that was actually made by Apple, Amazon sent me the wrong one. P.S. for Amazon.com, the picture of what you are asking me to review is not what you sent me either. What you sent was the "Apple iPod USB Travel Kit, etc." with the retractable USB cord. Come on Amazon, dial it in.

This is a handy gadget to have, with a retractable cord. It will fit an electric outlet, the USB port on a computer, or a car charger outlet. I bought it hoping that I could control my iPod Touch (3rd gen.) with the music, etc., but iPod has you around a barrel. I want to control it, but if I plug it in, it shows on My Computer as a digital camera! I really resent having to kowtow to their policies, but I do love my iPod Touch. I don't know what the answer it, but if anyone knows how to get around this, let me know! The gadget itself works fine, and I carry it in my laptop case so I am prepared. At home, I have an electrical outlet plug to charge while I am at home. The travel kit charges my iTouch in an hour and its convenient to use the charger that plugs into an outlet. I like how you can remove the usb cable from the plug. The car charger is a different story, the very first time I charged my iTouch in my car it started to smoke three seconds after plugging it in. It doesn't work in my car, it ends up heating up or smelling like smoke when I use it. I wouldn't recommend using the car charger unless you are going to keep your eye on it. Can this cause your car to catch fire?! IDK. You've been warned.

The USB cord didn't fit into my 3rd generation iPod touch, but that was fine because I had an extra cord laying around. The car adapter works like a dream, and you can use it with anything else that plugs into a USB port (digital camera, cell phone, etc). The wall adapter I haven't used as much, but from the limited use I gave it, it seemed to work just fine. All in all, an awesome deal and I am very pleased!
