| Customer Reviews: Be realistic, your iPod will be scratched. September 19, 2005 stuston (Middle GA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using this case for several months now and I am very pleased overall. I won't waste time repeating what the other reviewers have siad, so here are the highlights;
Vinyl will scratch the face, particularly around the scrollwheel.
Dust, hair, other junk will occasionally get caught under the vinyl.
The velcro closure could be a little better designed (and not block the hold button), but it could be much worse.
Neoprene holds the iPod in quite well even if velcro is undone and hanging upside down.
I abandoned the beltclip and got a cheap carabeaner (sp?) and hang it upside down using the nylon straps on the rear (used for the armband) attached to my beltloop, so that when I lift it up, I am viewing it correctly without having to detach it. It also keeps it in a more comfortable & accessable position when sitting at work.
Be realistic, unless you buy a hermetically sealed vault (what use would that be), you are going to get scratches and wear, no matter what. I bought this case because it will provide good protection from drops, keeps my iPod secure (won't fall out of this case), has a variety of clip/attachement options, and the screen is well protected.
Stay away from this! May 2, 2005 knockknock (NYC,NY) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
G.C. is right it makes more damage than anything.One of my friends had it and after 1 month of using it it scratched the front and back leaving scuff marks on the screen. My 2g ipod(2 years old) looks in better shape than his. I use the Timbuk2 case; yeah I know you can't see the screen but it doesn't scratch it though.
The problem in this DLO action Jacket is that sand or small particles get into the case and start rubbing against the ipod scratching it.The same problem happens with some cell phone cases
good protection February 2, 2005 PBJ (NY, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Despite the bad reviews that this product received from other buyers, I decided to buy it. I am very happy with my purchase. Ipod fits in very well; the neoprene grip on the sides makes it easy to hold. Belt clip as well as strap for jogging are very good. Only two thing I do not like. One is that the hold button is blocked by the top flap, so one has to open the Velcro to access the button. Two that you cannot drop the ipod into the charging cradle. You can only attach the cable.
Actually harms your iPod! December 28, 2004 G. C. Araos 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
The vinyl plastic covering that's supposed to protect the screen is so hard, and the stitching inside so abrasive that it actually caused more scratches on my iPod than it prevented.
Stay away from this product!
